Practice

Pacific Social Planning Ltd promotes strong, sustainable and inclusive communities by assisting organisations to plan and deliver their services and programs more effectively. We are keenly sensitive to issues of inclusion and access, and are committed to improving outcomes for marginalised and vulnerable members of the community.

We believe informed decision-making is essential to community wellbeing. Whether planning for social service delivery, assessing community needs, or developing innovative ways to share knowledge, we aim to deliver practical outcomes with direct social benefits. Pacific Social Planning may collaborate directly with a client or work with other consultants to create a specialised project team.

EJ Shu, Principal Consultant, has applied her analytic and strategic acumen to the planning profession for nine years. She holds an MA and a Master of Public Policy and Governance, and served as a strategic land-use planner and social planner within the local government sector before establishing her consulting practice in 2005. Prior to her planning career, EJ was a professional writer, researcher and copyeditor for print and electronic media, and her work continues to reflect a passion for effective communication.

EJ is a member of the Social Planning and Research Council of BC (SPARC), the Canadian Evaluation Society and the American Evaluation Association. Pacific Social Planning Ltd is an Institutional Partner of Metropolis British Columbia.
